New Delhi, India – General Counsels, compliance heads and law firm partners gathered at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Delhi Airport for the Clause & Coffee GC Summit & Awards 2026, presented by YanSan Experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Sangita Sarkar, Founder of Clause & Coffee, said, “The legal function is evolving beyond risk management to become a strategic driver of business growth, innovation and governance. Through Clause & Coffee, our aim is to create a trusted platform where General Counsels, compliance leaders and law firm partners can exchange practical insights, address emerging challenges and build meaningful professional relationships. The GC Summit & Awards 2026 reflects this vision by bringing together leaders to discuss the changing legal landscape, recognise excellence and explore how technology, including AI, is reshaping the profession. We are grateful to our speakers, partners and participants for making this gathering meaningful, and we look forward to continuing this dialogue across India.”
The day opened with a keynote on how legal judgment can hold its ground in the age of AI, by Dr. Adv. Chinmay Bhosale, Co-Founder, NYAI and Priyanshu Pandey, General Manager, Legal & Company Secretary, UNIQLO.
Five panels followed. On AI and IP, speakers pointed out that no new IP laws exist for AI, so companies need to read the terms of the tools they use and set clear policies for employees. The disputes panel looked at how in-house teams weigh recovery, client relationships and confidentiality with regulators. On M&A, the message was to bring legal in early, since compliance and post-signing approvals are often overlooked. The white-collar crime panel covered how to respond to a regulatory summons: stay calm, preserve documents and bring in forensic audits. The last panel talked about enabling approved AI tools through clear internal policies and employee awareness, rather than banning them.
Three executive roundtables on dispute resolution, compliance programmes and strategic M&A were held in the afternoon.
The highlight of the event was the Clause & Coffee Legal Excellence Awards 2026, which recognised outstanding General Counsels, compliance leaders and law firms.
The summit was supported by title partner NYAI; co-organising partners The Law Point, Lex Favios and SK Attorneys; platinum partners 3Sixty Law Group and Niyama Law; gold partners Contravi.AI, RazorSign and Lancers Risk Consulting; and silver partners DSA Legal, Kochhar & Co. and S.S. Rana & Co. Clause Play was the Official Media Partner.
