KARAM Supports Municipal Frontline Workers with Winter Safety Gear

In response to the intense winter conditions affecting North India, KARAM launched a winter relief drive to protect municipal frontline workers who continue to serve communities despite harsh weather. The company distributed over 38,000 pairs of safety gloves to workers engaged in outdoor and manual operations, ensuring warmth and hand protection during extreme cold.

The program was implemented across multiple cities in North India, focusing on cold-affected regions such as Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The initiative aimed to promote occupational safety awareness while addressing the immediate needs of workers exposed to low temperatures.

Ms. Kavita Nigam, CHRO, KARAM Safety, stated that the initiative stems from the company’s belief that safety is fundamentally about people and their well-being, especially those who work on the frontlines to maintain essential public services.

In Lucknow, the glove distribution was conducted with the support of the municipal corporation and in the presence of Mayor Ms. Sushma Kharkwal, highlighting the importance of protecting civic workers. In Sitarganj, Uttarakhand, the local Nagar Palika partnered with KARAM, with Executive Officer Ms. Pratibha Kohli leading the effort.

This winter initiative reflects KARAM’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and worker protection.
